They come to Playa Del Carmen for one night and get more action than I can find in a year.

So you’ll excuse me if I mention that I occasionally dip into one of the Playa Del Carmen exotic clubs for a dance and a little fondle.

But Playa Del Carmen exotic clubs can be shady.

There is one in particular that is known to spike people’s drinks, and then extort every last dollar they have.

I’ve tried to summarize everything you need to know about Playa Del Carmen exotic clubs here so you don’t get conned and can still get some action.

What Are Mexican Exotic Clubs Like?

Moreover, the laws are leniently enforced.

There is definitely no need to sit on your hands throughout a private dance (like in the US).

In the Playa Del Carmen exotic clubs, things are much more relaxed.

Beyond that, everything else will depend on how much you pay.

They usually have some VIP rooms at the back of the club which make the club somewhat of a brothel, and you can spend some very private time with the women there if that’s your thing.

Unfortunately, most of the women in Playa Del Carmen exotic clubs are Mexican.

A few of them are sexy.

Although I would say that the standards aren’t particularly high.

You also have to deal with the “big Mexican butts” that some men claim to like.

To me this translates to, “fat, tractor-ass, held up by legs that are disproportionately thin, attached to a torso that usually includes a protruding belly.”

When I hear a man say that he likes “big butts,” I always have to wonder if he knows how big they can get after a few years of dating!

Suddenly those “big butts” don’t look so hot, and they have turned into a “big dumpy ass.”

In general, you’re going to find okay looking women in the strip clubs here.

They usually have one stand out feature – massive knockers, great legs, good routine on the poll, etc.

You might find a couple of non-Mexican chicks (if you’re lucky), perhaps from elsewhere in Central or South America.

Then perhaps the odd Eastern European chick who brings in more money than all the Mexican chicks combined.

But the Eastern European chicks can be tricky.

They’re usually not living in Mexico for the beach, the food, or because of family; they are here just for the money.

Negotiating In A Playa Del Carmen Exotic Club

Benjamin Franklin is screaming, “Come and get me!!!” (I suppose it could be 100 British pounds and the queen screaming instead.)

If you’re Mexican, they don’t even want you there because there is an assumption that you’re not going to spend a lot of money.

GENERAL RULES:

1. First of all, don’t take US dollars / Credit cards – USD is the currency that every woman loves, and they’ll always find a way to get it off you. If you use USD, they will screw you (not literally) on the exchange rate, giving you 3 to 4 points less than the going rate at the bank. For example, if the dollar is currently exchanging for 17 pesos, they will give you 13 pesos for every dollar. Thus, if you have USD, change all your cash to Mexican pesos. It will make you less of a target. Using credit cards? – just don’t do it. Exorbitant fees, unknown charges, drink prices doubled, identity theft, etc… just to name a few problems you may encounter.
2. Secondly, ensure you’ve got lots of small denomination notes – This is the next common scam: give the customer the wrong change – and pretend like it was an accident! By the time you drink 10 beers and have a gorgeous girl sitting on your lap, there is a good chance of getting the wrong change at a Playa Del Carmen exotic club. By this time you probably don’t care about much else. That’s exactly when they will try to give you the wrong change. Pay 200 pesos, receive a beer, and you just had one expensive drink. “Change? We already gave it to you! Don’t you remember?”
3. Thirdly, don’t try and be too cheap – They’ll always find a way to take money from you. For example, they’ll charge you a “room fee” if you can negotiate a dancer down to a reduced price. Either way, you lose. Because they think we are all loaded (after all, we can afford international vacations; they can’t), they absolutely hate when American/Canadian/British/other English-speaking people are finicky about their expenditures while at the club.
4. Finally, make sure you have a clear understanding of what’s included before you pay – Unlike the strip clubs in the US, time is not measured by songs with a girl – time with a stripper is measured by drinks. After you choose a girl, the girl gets one drink. The drink is usually a small Corona, or “Coronita” as it is called here. They are tiny (7.1 oz / 210 ml). When that drink is gone, they will either ask for another drink, or move on to a different customer. Just make sure that you do what you want to do in that time. There’s nothing worse than walking to the bar to order another drink when you’ve got a huge boner hoisting up the crotch of your pants. Then you’re vulnerable, and the dancer knows it.

Chilly Willys has a terrible reputation.

But it’s got what quite a few people are looking for.

It’s not really a strip club, it’s much more of a brothel.

The girls really try and get guys excited with the private dances.

That makes it easier to get them paying for some time in the back room.

It’s easy to find.

Ask any taxi driver, and they’ll rub their hands together as they get big commission for bringing foreigners here.

If you’ve got plenty of cash and want sex, then Chilly Willys will work for you.

But the security here are hired criminals.

If you’re not spending money, then they’ll find a way of getting it out of you.

Only buy bottled beer. Have your server open it in front of you OR get it directly from the bar yourself OR go with a local who knows the people there.

Although unlikely, I’ve heard of stories of people getting drugged by the mixed drinks in Chilly Willys.

Unsurprisingly, the victims can’t remember anything and wake up with no money.

Playa Del Carmen Exotic Club 2 – Marlin Safari Men’s Club

It’s certainly not as much of a dive and doesn’t have the same bad reputation (as Chilly Willy’s).

Still, they will do the annoying “buy the girl a drink” trick. Of course the drink will be ridiculously overpriced. Par for the course.

I see more of a mixed crowd in here and would recommend it over Chilly Willys if you’re a bachelor party in Playa Del Carmen.

They generally have the best looking women of Playa Del Carmen exotic clubs, including a couple of 10s.

The girls get fully nude and some touching is allowed.

Some will try and get you to pay for extras but they’re not as determined as elsewhere.

Super Trash – Playa Del Carmen Exotic Clubs – La Hueva and La Diva

They don’t have the best looking women, to be honest.

The hotties get paid more when working at Marlins or Chilly Willys.

They also have a reputation for finding various ways to get loads of money out of you (like all strip clubs).

Take Mexican pesos – and don’t take your credit cards.

If you’re in either of these clubs, then you’ll probably spend everything in your wallet.

However, if you want some authentic Mexican culture and to see what a “real” Mexican-style strip club looks like, then I would recommend either of these.

Just show that you mean business and have some money to spend.

That normally keeps the bar staff, women, and door staff happy.

Other Options In Playa Del Carmen

That can make them a little sketchy, but they can be a fun night out.

If it sounds a little too much, but you still want some action then your best option is the escort service run by the Pleasure Palace.

Or you could possibly connect with a group of swingers in this city or Cancun.

It costs. But you’ve got to pay to play.

I’ve read good reports from men and couples who have stayed at the swinger resorts.

Stay safe, enjoy yourself, and remember to cop a good feel when a cute dancer is sitting on your lap – it would be rude not to!
